Consultation on modern slavery and supply chains

Close date: 7 May 2015

The Government consults on its proposal to require businesses to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement every financial year as evidence that they have taken steps to ensure that slavery and trafficking is not taking place in their business or anywhere in the supply chain. Only businesses with a certain level of turnover will be required to publish a statement. Statutory guidance will accompany the introduction of the new measure.
