Consultation on reforms to public-sector exit payments

The Government consults on proposals to reform public-sector exit payments, as part of its programme of changes to public-sector terms and conditions. The consultation seeks views on: introducing a maximum cap of three weeks' pay for each year of service; setting a maximum salary of £80,000 for calculating the payment; applying tapering provisions for those approaching retirement; and limiting employer-funded pension top ups.
