Consultation on shared parental leave and extending flexible working in Northern Ireland
Close date: 23 August 2013
The Northern Ireland Executive consults on whether or not the reforms introduced by the Children and Families Bill in Great Britain should be extended to Northern Ireland, and what alternative arrangements might be appropriate. The consultation covers the extension of flexible working to all employees (provided that they meet prescribed eligibility criteria, for example length of service) and the more informal process for making a request for flexible working, and the introduction of shared parental leave and pay.
