Consultation on voluntary pay gap reporting in the private sector
Close date: 28 October 2009
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) consults on proposals for voluntary gender pay reporting in the private and voluntary sectors. The aim of this is to address the continuing pay gap between men and women. While there is provision in the Equality Bill to introduce mandatory reporting on the gender pay gap by organisations with more than 250 employees, the preference is for reporting to be done on a voluntary basis.
