Pre-consultation on moving the May bank holiday

Close date: 9 June 2011

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport seeks suggestions for replacing the May bank holiday with a different occasion celebrated at a different time of the year. The responses will enable the Government to include all the relevant issues in the main consultation, which it says will take place in the summer of 2011. The Government states that it expects to make a decision on the issue in early 2012.
