Workplace exposure limit for Respirable Crystalline Silica

The Government consults on proposals for the
introduction of limits on the levels of workers' exposure to Respirable
Crystalline Silica (RCS). RCS, which is harmful to the lungs, is found in most
types of rock, sands, clays and gravel. It also occurs in building materials
such as bricks, tiles and concrete.
