New guidance for global employers on equal opportunities

The Guide for global employers, which provides an overview of the issues facing multinational employers, has been enhanced by a new section on equal opportunities.

This provides examples of laws in different countries prohibiting discrimination, victimisation and harassment, to help global employers navigate different values and cultures in other countries and to understand their legal obligations. It also contains some practical tips on how to approach developing a diversity policy that conforms with local laws and respects different values and cultures.

These sections complement the existing sections in the "Guide for global employers", including Employee rights, Establishing a global presence, Health and safety, Bribery and Training and development.
