DLR strike
Employees commuting into and around London are likely to be affected by the 48-hour strike on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). No DLR services are running on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 November 2015, and other forms of public transport are expected to be busier than normal. Normal service is expected to resume in the afternoon on Thursday 5 November 2015.
Employers should ensure that all staff who are unable to attend work are treated consistently. It is a good idea to have a policy on disruptions to public transport to avoid confusion over the steps employees are expected to take to get into work, and whether or not employees who are unable to attend work due to travel disruption will be paid.
