Campbell v Frisbee
Source: XpertHR case report Date:
31-12-2002
In Campbell v Frisbee [2002] EWHC 328, the High Court held that a repudiatory breach of a contract for services did not release the innocent party from the duty of confidentiality. There was no public interest in Ms Campbell's life that would justify disclosure of personal confidential information. Neither was there sufficient public interest to justify invoking the right to freedom of expression under the European Convention on Human Rights or the Press Complaints Commission Code of Practice.
