The Identity Documents Act 2010 repeals the Identity Cards Act 2006. The Identity Documents Act 2010 prescribes that the Secretary of State shall not issue further ID cards and that ID cards already issued are treated as cancelled. Sections 25, 26 and 38 of the Identity Cards Act 2006 are re-enacted by the Identity Documents Act 2010, with minor amendments. The Act can be viewed on the UK legislation website.

Affected financial institutions are required to apply remuneration policies, practices and procedures that are consistent with and promote effective risk management. The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) introduces a scheme to publicise the names of employers that pay their employees below the national minimum wage. The Regulations extend the circumstances in which a police authority is not required to advertise for independent members. A police authority may fill a vacancy from an old application if there are at least twice the number of applicants as there are vacancies and if the vacancy occurs within five years of the last advertisement. The Regulations amend the criteria for a police force to become a “relevant police force” for the purpose of enhanced criminal record certificates.
