The Whistleblowing Commission, which is examining the effectiveness of arrangements for
workplace whistleblowing and making recommendations for change, seeks views and information on experiences of whistleblowing. Issues explored in the consultation include: whether or not whistleblowing arrangements should be mandatory; rewards for whistleblowers; and whether or not the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 is working.

The Government consults on proposals to change the scope and governance of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority, including through exclusion of certain sectors from the scope of the licensing scheme and by adding to the enforcement tools available to the Gangmasters Licensing Authority for tackling transgressions in this area.

The Government consults on the detail of the provision in the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 enabling the Government to make regulations requiring employment tribunals to order an employer to conduct an equal pay audit in certain circumstances. The issues covered in the consultation include requirements as to the contents of an equal pay audit; how to determine whether or not an equal pay audit has complied with specified standards; and the proposed approach to disclosure of an equal pay audit. The consultation document states that the provision will be introduced in 2014.

The Health and Safety Executive consults on the draft revised Approved Code of Practice on the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 (SI 1992/3004). The code provides practical guidance on how to comply with the requirements of the Regulations. Proposed revisions to the code include to reflect legislative changes and to make it more understandable to users.
