8.1131 General: The same statutory provisions regulate health and safety throughout Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales, including their offshore islands, but not the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands or Northern Ireland), so the same regulatory regime applies in England, Scotland and Wales.

In Scotland duties owed by the occupier of a building to visitors and trespassers are regulated by the Occupiers Liability (Scotland) Act 1960.
