Does an employee still qualify for statutory maternity pay if she leaves her employment?

An employee who satisfies the other qualifying criteria will still qualify for statutory maternity pay if she leaves work after the start of the qualifying week for any reason including because she has resigned. The qualifying week is the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth. The employee's contract of employment will terminate at the end of the notice period, at which point the employee's entitlements to all other benefits, including accrual of holiday, will cease.
