Is there a legal requirement for an employer to provide a job description for each job vacancy?

Although there is no legal obligation for employers to provide job applicants or existing employees with a job description, it is good practice to prepare and maintain copies of job descriptions. All employees engaged on a contract of employment for more than one month are entitled to receive written notification of the title of the job which they are employed to do, or a brief description of the work for which they are employed, within two months of starting work, in the written statement of employment particulars.
