What happens if the chosen companion is not available at the time proposed for a meeting to discuss a statutory request in relation to study or training?

If the employee's chosen companion is not available at the proposed time of a meeting to discuss a statutory request in relation to study or training, the employee should propose an alternative time that is convenient to the employer, the employee and the companion, and falls within seven days of the original meeting date. The employer must postpone the meeting to the suggested time, but need grant a postponement only once.
