What redress is available if an employer fails to permit an employee to be accompanied at a meeting to discuss a statutory request in relation to study or training?

If an employer fails to permit an employee who has made a reasonable request for a companion to be accompanied at a meeting to discuss a statutory request in relation to study or training, the employee may present a complaint to the employment tribunal within three months of the failure. The employment tribunal may award up to two weeks' pay (subject to the statutory cap on a week's pay).
