Where it is not reasonable for an employer to alter a pregnant employee's working conditions or hours of work, or doing so would not avoid the risk to her health, what should it do?

Under s.67 of the Employment Rights Act 1996, if it is not reasonable for an employer to alter an employee's working conditions or hours of work, or this would not avoid the risk to her health, it should offer the employee any available suitable alternative work. If there is no suitable alternative work available, the employer should suspend the pregnant employee from work on maternity grounds.
