Raising awareness about the different religions and beliefs can address misconceptions and allow employees to understand what is and is not appropriate behaviour. In addition, arming line managers with knowledge about different religions and beliefs can give them the confidence to address relevant issues, for example flexible working or annual leave requests, bullying and harassment, or a difficulty in confirming to a dress code.
