Should special provision be made in the contract if an employee may be transferred within a group? What are the main points to look out for when producing a job description? How should the wage terms be set down in a contract of employment? What payment details should be included in a contract of employment?
An employee's level of pay should always be specified in the contract of employment or the written statement of particulars of employment (which must be provided under s.1 of the Employment Rights Act 1996). If details of remuneration are not specified by the contract, an employee may apply to an employment tribunal for an assessment of the amount of pay to which he or she is entitled.
