Are promises made during the interview legally binding?
What comprises an offer of employment?
Why are written terms of employment important?
Are conditional job offers binding?
Acceptance of an offer must be a positive act. Doing nothing
does not amount to acceptance. The applicant can use any means of accepting an
offer, unless the employer specifies one method. It is sensible to put a time
limit on an employment offer so that, if the prospective employee has not
accepted it within the time frame, the offer automatically expires.
