How to comply with the law on hours of work

  • Remember that the Working Time Regulations 1998, which restrict hours of work, apply not just to employees but also to workers.

  •  Be aware that, as of 1 August 2003, all non-mobile workers in the air, rail, road, sea, inland waterway and lake transport are covered by the provisions of the Working Time Regulations 1998.
