Special Leave 2014

The 2014 XpertHR Benchmarking survey on UK employers’ policies and arrangements relating to special leave, based on responses from 164 organisations with a combined workforce of 624,786 employees. Special leave is here defined as an agreed absence from work relating to specific, non-family circumstances, and which is not covered by the employee’s basic annual leave entitlement. This survey focuses on the following types of special leave: charity work; Jury service; Reserve forces training; and educationals (time taken off for the purposes of study).
