In Conaty v Barclays Bank plc, the Central London County Court awards a former Barclays Bank employee £243,792 after she developed a work-related upper-limb disorder. Announcing the award in April 2000 after a three-day trial, Judge Michael Rich QC attributed the injury to intensive keyboard work, poor posture, workstation layout and lack of training and information.
