In Grant v South West Trains Ltd the High Court has rejected a claim that denial of travel benefits to the same-sex partner of a female employee was in breach of her contract of employment.

The decision of the European Court of Justice on Lisa Grant's claim that denial of travel concessions to her partner because of her partner's sex is discrimination on grounds of sex contrary to EC law (DCLD29X) was issued after this journal went to press.
