    Date:
    1 November 1991

In Emmott v Minister for Social Welfare and Attorney General (25 July 1991) EOR40A, the European Court of Justice holds that time limits for claims brought under Community law in principle are the same as those laid down under the equivalent national statute. However, time does not begin to run until the Member State concerned has correctly implemented Community legislation.
