In Irvine v Ford Motor Co Ltd £39,938 compensation has been awarded by the Fair Employment Tribunal (Chair: M Davey) to a Catholic who was rejected for promotion to a post of training officer after the tribunal concluded that the director of education, training and development for Ford of Europe had not been truthful in the evidence he had given to the tribunal.
