    In Melia v Magna Kansei Ltd, the EAT holds that because a discount of 2.5% per annum is applied in recognition of accelerated payment of elements of an unfair dismissal compensatory award, it is proper for employment tribunals to award a premium of 2.5% per annum in respect of delayed payment of other elements of the award, even though statute does not allow for payment of interest.
