In Pickstone and others v Freemans plc (25.3.87) EOR13A, the Court of Appeal rules that Article 119 of the EEC Treaty, unlike s.1(2)(c) of the Equal Pay Act as amended, permits a woman to bring an equal value complaint even though she is employed on like work or work rated as equivalent to that of a man other than her comparator.
