Kapadia v London Borough of Lambeth [2000] IRLR 699 CA (0 other reports)

In Kapadia v London Borough of Lambeth the Court of Appeal has given guidance on the role of medical evidence in disability discrimination cases.

The case concerned an accountant, who consulted his doctor in 1995, complaining of anxiety, stress, tension and depression. The doctor diagnosed reactive depression and referred him to a consultant clinical psychologist, who acted as a counsellor, seeing Mr Kapadia about 20 times over the next two years.
