Webb v EMO Air Cargo (UK) Ltd [1992] IRLR 116 CA (0 other reports)

In Webb v EMO Air Cargo (UK) Ltd (20 December 1991) EOR42A, the Court of Appeal rules that unfavourable treatment of a woman for a reason arising out of her pregnancy does not contravene the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 unless a man in comparable circumstances would have been treated differently. The Court also holds that such an interpretation does not conflict with the decision of the European Court of Justice in the Dekker case.
