In The Home Office v Holmes 11.6.84 EAT/169/84, the EAT holds that a ban on part-time work can amount to unlawful sex discrimination.

Notwithstanding the EAT's assertion that this decision turns on its own facts, it is likely to add force to pressure for greater availability of part-time work.
