An employee who agreed severance terms following the takeover of a cleaning contract on which was employed, was in effect dismissed because she was married to the managing director of the firm which had lost the contract, and was therefore unlawfully discriminated against, holds an Ashford employment tribunal (Chair: D E de Saxe) in Smith v ISS Servisystem Ltd.
