In Saltire Press Ltd and others v Convy and others 22.5.98 Inner House Court of Session, the Court of Session upholds the decision of an employment tribunal that casual workers, supplied from a union pool to a newspaper producer, were "employees". The employer had an obligation to provide work because of a manning agreement that existed between the union and the employer.
