Equal pay: "Hopeless" equal value claims are not bound to be dismissed

In Wood and others v William Ball Ltd 10.9.99 EAT 552/98, the EAT holds that, at the initial hearing of an equal value claim, the employment tribunal should first ask itself whether or not it should commission an independent expert's report. If it does commission such a report, then it must adjourn the proceedings for that purpose.
