The standards set out in the European Commission Code of Practice on measures to combat sexual harassment at work are now regularly used by industrial tribunals, as Felstead v Dennis's Coaches and others1, Roberts v Nolene Ltd and others2, and Shaw v Northern Ireland Hospice and another3illustrate.

Paula Felstead was employed when she was 16 as a booking clerk by Dennis's Coaches, the sole proprietor of which was Roy Cooper Jnr, the second respondent.
