In Ninsiima v London Borough of Waltham Forest a Stratford employment tribunal (Chair: V K Gay) awards nearly £80,000 compensation to a wheelchair user who was discriminated against on grounds of disability by the employer's failure to make reasonable adjustments.

Mr Ninsiima, who is a wheelchair user, having contracted polio in childhood, was employed by Waltham Forest Council as a full-time financial assessment officer from 1993 until April 1998, when he resigned and claimed disability discrimination.
