Injury to feelings award reduced

In McConnell v Police Authority for Northern Ireland the Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland has ruled that an award of £10,000 for injury to feelings for discrimination on grounds of religious belief was excessive. Awards for injury to feelings in fair employment cases should be no higher than for other forms of discrimination, it says.
