In Qureshi v (1) Victoria University of Manchester and (2) Brazier a Birmingham industrial tribunal (Chair: A C Tickle) awards record compensation of £25,000 for injury to feelings in a race discrimination case, together with £8,000 in aggravated damages, against Manchester University.

Dr Qureshi, a lecturer in the faculty of law at Manchester University since 1985, made eight complaints of race discrimination, including victimisation, in two separate applications against the university.
