Parkinson v March Consulting Ltd EAT/776/94 (0 other reports)
In Parkinson v March Consulting Ltd 24.7.95 EAT 776/94 the EAT upholds an industrial tribunal's decision that an employee was dismissed for "some other substantial reason", namely the reorganisation of his employer's business, notwithstanding that the reorganisation was not completed until a considerable time after his employment terminated. The EAT says that, in determining the employer's reason for dismissal, a tribunal may take into account events which occur between the date on which the employee was given notice of dismissal and the date on which that notice expired.
