Restrictive covenants: Non-dealing covenant justifiably extended to prospective customers of employer
This report relates to 1 case(s)
International Consulting Services (UK) Ltd v Hart IRLR 227 HC (0 other reports)
A covenant prohibiting a former employee of a company for one year from dealing with anyone who was negotiating with the company in the 12 months before he left its employment, and with whom he had contact, was reasonable and not too vague to be enforced, holds the High Court in International Consulting Services (UK) Ltd v Hart 26.1.00 High Court. The fact that the restraint operated even where the employee's contact with a prospective customer was unconnected with the negotiations, and was a long time ago, did not quite tip the balance.
