In Pickford v Imperial Chemical Industries plc, the Court of Appeal finds that the company had breached its duty of care to a secretary who developed the prescribed condition PDA4 ("writer's cramp"). ICI had failed to supervise her work adequately, and had not provided instruction, warnings and information on the risks associated with the use of display screen equipment.
