Guillotines used in a shop selling wall coverings, paints, wallboards etc had been used without incident for 18 years. They could not be said to constitute imminent risk of serious potential injury, said the Industrial Tribunal in C Brewer and Sons Ltd v WR Dunstan.

There is no statutory definition of a guillotine.
