A West Yorkshire textile company which threatened workers on an all-Asian night shift that if they did not accept new working practices they would be dismissed, unlawfully discriminated on grounds of race, rules a Leeds industrial tribunal (Chair: P A Morris) in Rasab and others v John Haggas plc. It awards compensation totalling £229,000 and recommends that the employer fully adopts the CRE Code of Practice.
