Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 (Consequential Amendments to Subordinate Legislation) (England and Wales) Order 2012 comes into force
Implementation date: 9 January 2013
The order amends the National Minimum Wage Regulations 1999 (SI 1999/584), so that persons working under an apprenticeship agreement under s.32 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 are entitled to the national minimum wage rate for apprentices. It also disapplies the Fixed-term Employees (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2002 (SI 2001/2034) in relation to apprenticeship agreements.
