Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 (Rehabilitation of Offenders) (Transitory Provisions) Order 2013 comes into force

Implementation date: 24 June 2013

The order amends the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 to ensure that a disposal under the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011, where a child has committed an offence, will be treated as a criminal conviction (for the purposes of the 1974 Act) and will, after a certain period, become spent. The order can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
