Disability Discrimination Codes of Practice (Employment and Trade Organisations) Revocation Order 2004 comes into force
Implementation date: 24 September 2004
The Order revokes the Code of Practice for the elimination
of discrimination in the field of employment against disabled persons or
persons who have had a disability and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995
Code of Practice on the duties of trade organisations to their disabled members
and applicants. However, these Codes of Practice continue to have effect in
relation to proceedings arising from a complaint alleging that a person has,
prior to 1 October 2004, committed an act of unlawful discrimination contrary
to the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, Part II. The Order can be viewed on the OPSI website.
