Employers' Liability (Compulsory Insurance) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 come into force

Implementation date: 28 February 2005

The Regulations amend the Employers' Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 to exempt an employer which is a company that has only one employee and that employee owns 50% or more of the issued share capital in that company from the requirement to take out employers' liability insurance. The Regulations also exempt the Northern Ireland Legal Services Commission. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
