Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2004 comes into force
Implementation date: 1 February 2005
Order increases the limits applying to certain awards of employment tribunals
and other amounts payable under employment legislation. The limit on the amount
of the compensatory award for unfair dismissal increases from £55,000 to 56,800.
The maximum amount of 'a week's pay' for the purpose of calculating basic or
additional award of compensation for unfair dismissal or redundancy payment
increases from £270 to £280. The Order can be viewed
