European Public Limited-Liability Company Regulations 2004 come into force
Implementation date: 8 October 2004
The Regulations make provision for
employee involvement in a new form of public limited-liability company, the
European Company or 'Societas Europaea'. The Regulations cover: the establishment of a
special negotiating body; election or appointment of UK members of the special
negotiating body; negotiation of an employee involvement agreement; standard
rules on employee involvement; compliance and enforcement; treatment of
confidential information; and employee protection. The Regulations can
