Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004 (Commencement No 1) Order 2004 comes into force

The Order brings into force various sections of the Gangmasters (Licensing) Act 2004. Sections which are brought into force include those setting out the functions that the Gangmasters Licensing Authority is to perform; what type of work is covered by the Act; and the territorial scope of the Act.
